Interim and Associate Opportunities
We’re building a trusted network of experienced HR and People professionals with Further Education experience who are interested in interim assignments, project work and associate opportunities across the sector.
We’re keen to hear from people with a broad range of expertise — from experienced HR generalists and business partners through to specialists in organisational development, culture, talent and resourcing, learning and development, employee relations, reward, HR systems and people data.
We’d also like to connect with senior People leaders who may be interested in providing strategic support to colleges going through transition, transformation or significant change — or where there is a need to quickly strengthen and accelerate strategic People capability.
Opportunities may range from providing additional capacity during a vacancy or period of change, to supporting a specific project, transformation programme, investigation or specialist piece of work.

Senior Appointments and Strategic Advisory Support
Making the right senior People appointment matters. These are roles that can shape culture, organisational capability and the ability of a college to deliver its wider strategy.
This work is led personally by Nicola Perkins, drawing on more than 25 years’ experience in Further Education and extensive experience of managing the search, selection and assessment process for multiple senior-level appointments.
FE HR Hub can work alongside a college, its leadership team and Board to provide independent, sector-informed support throughout a strategic appointment. This might include helping to shape the role and candidate proposition, supporting the search and attraction approach, designing a robust selection and assessment process, incorporating psychometric profiling where appropriate, and providing independent input to appointment panels.
The aim is not simply to fill a vacancy, but to help colleges make a well-evidenced, high-quality appointment that is right for the organisation, its culture and its future direction.
