When you’re busy delivering on multiple projects, strategies, and action plans, finding time to develop your professional network isn’t easy. Yet you’d love to belong to a community of People professionals who understand FE, and share similar challenges.
The FE HR Breakfast Club allows you to do just that. For a ‘golden hour’, once a month, FE HR folk come together online to:
- Connect with others in the FE sector across the UK
- Share ideas, practice and resources and challenge the status quo
- Access advice, support and other expertise
- Gain access to free FE-focussed discussions on topics such as Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI), Well-being, Business Planning and Employment Law updates

Who Can Join?
Anyone who works in an HR-related field within an FE institution. You could be an HR generalist, or Learning & Development, EDI, Recruitment, Reward, Well-being or other specialist.
Through our varied programme, you’ll meet fellow HR Directors in one session, and Recruitment specialists at the next.
The diversity of topics and round-table discussions stretches across all strands of HR activity and provides valuable learning and development for all People professionals.
So, whether you’re a team of one or of twenty, our guest speakers provide thought-provoking insights for those working at both strategic and operational levels of HR.
“The FE HR Breakfast Club is great! The events focus on relevant topics and show case best practice across FE.” – HR Manager, Addysg Oedolion Cymry | Adult Learning Wales
How does Breakfast Club work?
When is Breakfast Club?
8.50 – 10.00 am on the second Friday of each month.
How do I join?
All FE HR Breakfast Club sessions are run online, avoiding unnecessary travel time.
Simply register beforehand and find somewhere you can comfortably sit at your laptop for an hour.
How do the sessions work?
Each month, you’ll share in:
- An in-depth discussion about topics specifically relevant to the Further Education sector.
- Free resources and a Q&A session on this month’s topic.
- Opportunities to connect with other People professionals in FE, sharing experience, advice and resources.
What happens in between?
There’s a private LinkedIn group for the FE HR Hub to help you connect with the wider FE HR community, share posts and initiate or continue topic discussions.
Over time, you’ll build more connections and create on-going relationships outside of the monthly sessions, as you continue knowledge-sharing and collaboration.

Suggest a Topic and Share Your Success
The FE HR Hub is all about growing a community that supports each other, so:
- What’s your biggest HR challenge right now?
- What would you love to get other people’s thoughts on?
- What projects are you really proud of?
Send through your ideas for topics that would help you in your work. And tell us what’s going well in your college, so we can recognise the work that went into overcoming those challenges and help you celebrate its success!
